Joint Research Society on Value Creation in Manufacturing Industry

Joint Research Society on Value Creation in Manufacturing Industry

Our research society was created in July of 2013 as a 3-year-limit research society with the goal of revitalizing Japan's manufacturing industries while transcending the framework of academic fields, creating links between researchers of diverse fields of study, and discovering new business models for discourse.
We welcome all areas of study from the sciences to the arts and anyone is welcome to attend during our periodic meetings to present their research. Participation is welcomed at any time.

About us (Research Society Outline)

In an effort to open a new path for Japan's stagnated manufacturing industry since the 1990s, our research society was established, using the installation of new business models, application of various skills and management ingenuity.
Founded upon our mother organization, The Subcommittee on Value Creation in Manufacturing Industry, which was started in 2009 for a two year period as a sub-branch of Entrepreneur Engineering Research Society, in The Institute of Image Information and Television Engineers, we ended our activities in 2011 and have this time, decided to reunite once more, reconstructing into a unionized research society where various academic societies may come together to add new perspectives.
So far, we have picked up and focused on a unique business model, Komatsu., Ltd., which has left highly favorable results in the Japanese manufacturing industry, and have furthered our research, debating from other perspectives such as 1) ICT applied business models; 2) Environmental conservation projects; 3) The fusion of the manufacturing and service industries; and 4) The formation of small/medium-business platforms. We plan on continuing our research on business models other than Komatsu, debating on a broader spectrum through many perspectives. We believe the revival of Japan's manufacturing industry will be a great project in which synergy must be born through the union of various intellects from the sciences to the arts to the business world. Therefore, we have called upon a diverse group of academic societies: engineering, technological management, business administration, as well as many others, and have prepared a subcommittee within the individual societies to create a temporary lateral communication research society through their combined efforts.
To the end, we will remain a research society theme-focused on the conquest of the manufacturing industry's dilemma with a 3 year goal. We await many further participants from academic societies and businesses.

As of July 2013, our members are
